Looking for an exciting school holiday activity? The NZSFC Youth Nationals run from April 3rd to April 18th, 2026, and are open to all junior anglers under 18 — no club membership required.

This nationwide tournament follows a measure‑and‑release, points‑based format that encourages lighter line classes. With epic prizes from Daiwa NZ and Just Another Fisherman, it’s a great chance for young anglers to get out on the water and experience the thrill of fishing.

There are sections for everyone — from handlines to boat fishing — plus a fun photography category focused on the marine environment. It’s also an awesome way for parents and kids to spend meaningful time together.
