🎣 MSFC First Tagged Marlin Competition

Competition Overview

All current financial MSFC members are automatically entered!
Runs for the entire 2025/2026 fishing season, until the prize is won.

Objective

Be the first to tag a marlin, of any size, anywhere in New Zealand waters.

Who Can Claim the Prize

If the angler is a current financial member, they may claim the prize directly.
If the angler is NOT a member but the skipper is, the skipper may claim the prize instead.

Verification Requirements

To confirm your tag, you must email the following to:📧 records@msfc.org.nz

Photo or video of the marlin showing a successful tag shot.
Completed and populated tag card.

Prize

🏆 $1,000 Marine Deals Voucher

Prize will be awarded at the first club night following the successful tag.
Winner must attend the club night to claim their prize.

Rules

All fishing must follow NZSFC rules.
Any form of cheating will result in immediate disqualification at the discretion of the committee and organizers.

Confirmed cases will result in:

Membership revocation
Possible report to NZ Police for fraud

The committee reserves the right to decline any entries where photos or documentation are unclear or incomplete.
